WANT TO HEAR  MORE?

I'm a bestselling author in teen fantasy and am known most for Nahtaia: A Jaydürian Adventure, which boasts a whopping 3.7 million online reads. Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, I moved to North Carolina where I write full time and am hard at work on my next series, The Chronicles of Jaydür. When I'm not writing, I'm educating my horde of goblins in the ways of Middle Earth and Narnia along with my better half, Joshua Robertson.

About

It's one thing to write a story that someone enjoys, but it's an entirely different thing to write something that teaches you something. That is my intention -- to teach my reader something, if not just to value life and love.

My stories each have at least one theme. An Ogre's Tale is a tale of gluttony and selfishness. The Dryad and the Dark Elf speaks of racism and having the courage to face what life throws at you. Nahtaia: A Jaydürian Adventure is about love, trust, and growing friendships, even with someone you would have once considered an enemy.

The books I chose to read as a child were just that -- lessons, sprinkled delicately and thoughtfully throughout adventures and characters of a story. BUT, I never felt preached to. I never felt talked down to. The stories left me wondering what I would do in certain circumstances and how I would handle troubles or disappointments. They helped me become who I am today.

A good book won't have the reader forgetting what they read. Some of the biggest lessons about people that I learned was from books. I have specific trains of thoughts that I trace back to a specific moment of reading, and that is what I intend on doing for my readers.

This is my vision.

My blogs are like little non-fiction narratives of my life. My blogs are how I know I am a writer through and through. Because I feel the need to write everything, whether they're read or not. And I have several blogs. One is for my writing. One is a lifestyle blog. The third is a blog where you'll see the very opinionated side of me, and it's written more like a diary than a blog. So if you are easily offended by religious views that are not your own, or political rants, I would avoid that specific blog.

Me and my husband , Joshua Robertson...who is also an author!
